About Me

I was born in Norwich and spent my early years as an RAF child, moving frequently before my family eventually settled in Somerset, where my mother grew up.

My passion for design emerged in my teenage years, setting me on a path toward a creative career. University refined my skills and introduced me to new techniques, deepening my understanding of visual communication and problem-solving.

With over 15 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite, I have honed my expertise in typography, layout design, and branding. My work spans print design, image editing, and creative strategy, allowing me to craft visually compelling solutions that balance aesthetics with functionality.

As a versatile designer, I adapt easily to different styles, mediums, and challenges, ensuring every project meets its objectives. My meticulous approach means that no detail is overlooked, and every piece is polished to the highest standard.

Currently based in Sheffield, I’m thriving in my northern adventure. While I see myself eventually returning south, my time at Route 1 Print has been outstanding, and I’m more than happy to stay—unless an extraordinary opportunity comes my way.

My role at Route 1 Print

Bringing creative ideas to life through impactful design

Design and develop engaging marketing materials, including weekly email campaigns, mail campaigns, and social media graphics. Ensure all assets are visually engaging and align with Route 1 Print’s brand identity to captivate the audience and drive customer action.

Working with the marketing team to deliver strategic campaigns

Collaborate closely with the rest of the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and tailor designs to support key business goals. Maintain consistent visual language across all platforms to reinforce brand recognition.

Creating personalised email campaigns that boost engagement

Utilise DotDigital to create personalised email marketing campaigns that improve engagement, boost open rates, and increase revenue. Develop dynamic content blocks to deliver tailored messaging based on customer behaviour and preferences.

Managing the visual identity of Route 1 Print’s product range

Oversee the visual presentation of Route 1 Print’s product range, ensuring high-quality imagery and cohesive design across digital and print platforms. Manage product updates to maintain a fresh, appealing look that resonates with customers.

Exploring new ideas to create innovative content

Produce creative content for various formats, including video guides, educational resources, and promotional materials. Continuously explore new design techniques and trends to enhance Route 1 Print’s visual presence.

Achievements & Highlights

  • Implemented a monthly printed mailer campaign targeting customers based on inactivity brackets. Using variable data, I created bespoke mailers tailored to each segment, driving a steady increase in active customers and surpassing quarterly targets. This strategy ultimately set new records for customer retention and weekly active customers.

  • Developed a comprehensive email tracking process to improve revenue and open rates. By recording key email elements like imagery, product volume, and CTA placement, I identified trends that informed future campaigns. As a result, open rates now consistently exceed 34%, and weekly revenue has increased by 4-6 times its previous levels.

  • Led the creation of product imagery, stock photos, and mockups for the launch of our Large Format range. I set up a dedicated studio space to produce high-quality assets for web, print, and social media. Additionally, I created instructional assembly videos under our white-label Print Guru identity to support customers and their clients.

  • Designed and executed the marketing campaign for our Loyalty & Rewards scheme, earning nominations for 'Marketing Campaign of the Year' at the Dotties 2024 and the Printweek Awards 2025. The campaign combined personalised emails, printed materials like flyers, and magazine adverts, generating significant industry buzz as the first rewards scheme of its kind.

  • Conducted a competitor analysis to identify gaps in our customer account area, highlighting the need for a more business-focused platform. Developed UX concepts that inspired a new centralised customer hub, streamlining processes such as reordering, reporting, and invoice generation to improve the overall user experience.
